About this tool

Made for the task at hand.

Read arbitrary file bytes directly in the browser and encode them as Base64. Unlike an image-only workflow, this converter does not require a decodable picture and supports documents, archives, and binary fixtures.

How to use

  1. Choose or drop any local file.
  2. Select raw Base64 or a complete data URL.
  3. Copy the encoded output or download it as a text file.
Your work stays yours.
Tool inputs are processed locally in your browser and are never sent to KitVerse servers. Clear the workspace when using a shared device.
Common questions
Are only image files supported?

No. Any file the browser can read can be encoded, including text, PDF, JSON, ZIP, and arbitrary binary files.

Does the file leave my device?

No. FileReader performs the conversion locally; the selected file is not uploaded or saved.
