About this tool

Made for the task at hand.

Inspect the exact UTF-8 byte representation of text in hexadecimal. Decoding accepts common separators and 0x prefixes, then rejects incomplete pairs and invalid UTF-8 rather than substituting lossy characters.

How to use

  1. Enter Unicode text for encoding or hexadecimal bytes for decoding.
  2. Choose the conversion direction.
  3. Copy the byte-pair output or decoded text after validation succeeds.
Your work stays yours.
Tool inputs are processed locally in your browser and are never sent to KitVerse servers. Clear the workspace when using a shared device.
Common questions
Why does one character produce multiple hex bytes?

UTF-8 uses one to four bytes per Unicode code point. Non-ASCII characters therefore commonly produce multiple byte pairs.

Can I paste continuous hex without spaces?

Yes. Spaces, commas, colons, hyphens, and 0x prefixes are accepted as long as complete hexadecimal byte pairs remain.
