About this tool

Made for the task at hand.

Evaluate expressions with explicit arithmetic precedence and right-associative powers. A dedicated recursive-descent parser accepts only numbers, operators, parentheses, and supported functions; it never evaluates JavaScript or accesses variables.

How to use

  1. Enter an expression using supported operators and functions.
  2. Use parentheses to make grouping explicit where needed.
  3. Read the result or correct the reported syntax position.
Your work stays yours.
Tool inputs are processed locally in your browser and are never sent to KitVerse servers. Clear the workspace when using a shared device.
Common questions
Which syntax and precedence are supported?

Use decimals, +, -, *, /, %, ^, parentheses, sqrt, sin, cos, abs, min, and max. Powers associate rightward, and trigonometric functions use radians.

Does the calculator execute arbitrary JavaScript?

No. It uses neither eval nor Function. Unknown identifiers and unsupported syntax are rejected, and input length, nesting, division by zero, and non-finite results are checked.
