About this tool

Made for the task at hand.

Expand compact rules into a consistent stylesheet layout. The formatter tracks strings, comments, braces, and parentheses so declaration punctuation is separated from selectors and function syntax.

How to use

  1. Paste CSS rules or a stylesheet into the editor.
  2. Choose two-space or four-space indentation.
  3. Fix reported unclosed blocks or strings, then copy the CSS.
Your work stays yours.
Tool inputs are processed locally in your browser and are never sent to KitVerse servers. Clear the workspace when using a shared device.
Common questions
Does it validate every CSS property?

No. It checks structural issues such as unclosed blocks and strings, but does not validate browser support or individual property values.

Are comments kept?

Yes. Block comments remain in the output and are placed on their own lines for readability.
